Got a grizzly man chest that needs to be tamed? No fear! Go shirtless and sexy smooth when you learn how to shave your chest today.
A clean shaved chest is a sure fire way to look hot on the beach this summer. Shaving is the easiest and least painful option when compared to laser hair removal and waxing. Don’t be afraid to trim things up a bit with these great steps:
- First, determine how much of your chest hair you’d like to trim down. Some men opt for using an electric razor to simply shorten the hair they already have while still leaving some stubble for that rugged look. More often than not, a completely clean shaven look is favored for the beach though.
- If you’re going for the completely bare shaved chest, be sure to trim your hair with a sterilized pair of cosmetic shears to about ¼ of an inch to make shaving easier.
- Begin by moistening the skin with warm water, this is easily done in the shower. The warm water softens the cuticles of the hair, making how to shave your chest easier.
- Prep your skin with a moisturizing shaving cream and let it soak into your skin for a few minutes, further softening the hair and nourishing the skin.
- To ensure the closest shave, a female razor may be used as they have a conditioning strip that allows the razor to cut the hair closer to the skin. This gives your skin a silky smooth feeling for much longer than a male razor. Shave the hair against the grain of growth in short, slow strokes making sure to run your hand over the freshly shaved area to make sure all stray growth is trimmed.
- Take extra care around sensitive areas like the nipples, and boney areas around the collarbone, as they are more susceptible to accidentally being nicked with the blade.
- Now that you’re all smooth and sexy, rinse the extra shaving cream off with warm water and pat dry. Apply oil or lavender cooling gel to help keep irritation and ingrown hairs at bay.
